# latlon-converter
Converts latitude and longitude into a stardard form

# Usage
   latlon_conv.py --cmd < input_file > output_file
   latlon_conv.py

The `--cmd` option launches the command-line version, otherwise the GUI is launched.

The input file should contain coordinates in maximum two (tab-separated) columns. First line can be a heading with column headings being
one of: 'lat', 'latitude', 'lon', 'longitude', 'latlon', 'lonlat', 'lat-lon', 'lon-lat'.

The output file is a tab-separated table with original coordinates and standard formattings of them

# GUI

The GUI allows to select the input and output files. It also allows to write the input into the `Input` text area.

The `Load` button loads the text from the input file into the `Input` text area.

The `Process` button performs the conversion. It takes the input from the input file or the `Input` text area, depending on which one is available.
It writes the output into into the output file, if it's given, otherwise to the `Output` text area.
